July 7 & 8 2012: A weekend intensive course focused on bringing the new Stanford radiology fellows up to speed on the essentials of body MRI. Importantly, fellows were introduced to body MR clinical faculty and MR physicists, including a team of scientists led by Dr. Brian Hargreaves. The first day began with breakfast presentations. Core body MR concepts were covered in rapid fire. Over the course of the weekend, lectures were interlaced with scanning sessions. Some learning is best accomplished by doing: how to optimize images, troubleshoot, build protocols, time image acquisitions, and handle advanced post-processing.
