Li Fraumeni Syndrome

MRI can be used to evaluate the whole body to detect tumors in Li-Fraumeni syndrome.  The chief advantage of MRI in this setting is its lack of ionizing radiation.  The whole exam takes approximately 2 hours, though a separate dedicated breast MRI should be performed in women.
