Vaginal Carcinoma

MRI can used for staging of vaginal tumors, providing a detailed assessment of location of the tumor, parametrial involvement, pelvic sidewall extension, and nodal disease.  Also, the relationship of the tumor to the rectum, urethra, and bladder is assessed.
