Focal Liver Lesion Characterization

Characterization of liver masses by MRI is aided by the excellent soft tissue contrast of the modality. Additionally, a variety of MRI contrast agents are now available that increase our ability to confidently make specific diagnoses.

This right lobe liver lesion has MRI signal characteristics that are unequivocally representative of a benign lesion: focal nodular hyperplasia.
